How we make money

Short version: some links pay us a commission. That's it.

When you buy something through certain links on OpenDeals, the retailer pays us a small percentage. It never changes the price you pay, and it never changes what appears in the feed: deals rank on community votes and freshness, full stop.

What we will never do

  • Sell placement in the feed. There are no sponsored posts, boosted deals or hidden ads.
  • Hide an affiliate link. Deals that earn us commission are labelled on the deal page.
  • Tweak a verification verdict because a retailer pays us. The checker doesn't know who pays.

If you ever spot something that looks like an exception, tell us, and check the moderation log, where our actions are public.

The deal community that can't lie to you. Every deal checked, every affiliate link declared, every mod action on the record.

To cover our running costs, some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, the shop may pay us a commission. The price you pay never changes, and deals are posted and ranked on community votes whether or not a link earns us anything. Helping you pay less always comes first.
